Our newsletter, printed in conjunction with the S.S.A., contains information and updates from the staff and administration at Skyline.  You can find articles about academics, school schedules and extracurricular activities.  This newsletter is mailed to every student’s household once a marking period.

Uniform Policy at Skyline

Starting with the 2009-2010 school year, Skyline Middle School has a uniform policy.  Information and order forms can be found in the following documents.  Please read the information page very carefully as it explains the details of the uniform requirements.  If you are using the order forms, please fill out each page completely as you need them,  and follow the instructions for mailing.  Contact the main office with any additional questions.

Skyline Middle School’s School Mission:

Skyline Middle School is dedicated to creating an environment that enhances academic growth, develops self-confidence, and encourages good citizenship.  Our mission is to engage and challenge every student daily.  To achieve this mission, we provide a balanced academic and co-curricular program.  We focus on quality curriculum with varied instruction and offer a wide range of after school activities, sports, and clubs.

Skyline Middle School’s Goals:

The goals of Skyline Middle School are to:
                 -Improve students’ skills in all academic subjects and the exploratory arts;
                 -Provide opportunities for students to participate in extra-curricular, career, and                  community activities;
                 -Create a positive school climate by fostering a student-centered environment;
                 -Enhance teachers’ abilities to implement state and district standards through                  site-selected professional development;
                 -Utilize technology to assist and enhance teachers and students in the learning                  process;

Skyline’s teachers, administrators and parents will continually evaluate existing curriculum and programs to ensure best practices.  We will strive to promote a nurturing climate that supports excellence, innovation, and diversity.
